Chatynkowo — Terms of Service

1. About the Service

Chatynkowo (the “Service”) is the fairytale website www.chatynkowo.pl and the Chatynkowo mobile app for Android and iOS, inspired by the chatynkowo.pl project. The Service shows a map and descriptions of hidden “Elves' Cottages” and lets you unlock their stories by entering or scanning the code found on the plaque next to each cottage.

The Service is operated by BlockchainWares Software, entered in the Polish National Court Register (KRS) under number 0000137120 (the “Operator”).

Using the Service is free of charge and voluntary. All cottages, stories and rewards are available at no cost and without an account.

2. Account and leaderboard

An account is optional. You create it by signing in with Google or Apple. It keeps your finds when you switch devices and lets you take part in the public seekers' leaderboard, which shows your nickname, your account photo (if you turn it on) and your progress in finding the cottages.

• Your nickname must not break the law or infringe anyone's rights, impersonate other people, or be offensive or vulgar. The Operator may reset such a nickname to the default one.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (the Profile tab, the Account screen, the Delete account button) or at www.chatynkowo.pl/delete-account.html.

3. Acceptable use

• The Service must be used in a way that complies with the law and good manners.
• All content (stories, recordings, illustrations, the map, visual design) is protected by copyright and provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
• Entering random or fake codes to bypass the discovery mechanic is not forbidden, but it spoils the experience for other seekers — please play in the spirit of the fairytale.
• Trips into the field to look for the cottages are at your own risk. Please respect forest and protected-area rules, take care of yourself, and leave no trace.

4. Voluntary support (app)

In the app you can voluntarily support Chatynkowo by buying “a coffee for the elf” or by watching an ad. Support unlocks nothing and gives no advantage on the leaderboard. Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store on their terms, including payments and refunds. The ad is served by Google AdMob only when you ask for it.

5. Disclaimer of warranties & liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without any warranties — including, but not limited to, availability, uninterrupted operation, accuracy of cottage locations, or correctness of the map.

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for:

• any damages arising from using or being unable to use the Service;
• loss of progress kept only on your device, without an account (e.g. after clearing the browser's or the app's data, switching devices, or using private/incognito mode);
• incidents that may occur during field trips inspired by the Service.

6. External links

The Service may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, navigation maps, the original chatynkowo.pl). The Operator is not responsible for the content or policies of those services. Once you follow an external link, the third party's terms and privacy policy apply.

7. Intellectual property

All rights to the Service's content (texts, stories, recordings, illustrations, and code) belong to their respective authors. Copying, modification, and redistribution require permission — except for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may change. The current version is always available at this URL; the date of the most recent change is shown at the top of the document. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
