Chatynkowo — Terms of Service

1. About the site

Chatynkowo (the “Site”) is a fan-made, fairytale website inspired by the chatynkowo.pl project. The Site shows a map and descriptions of hidden “Elves' Cottages” and lets visitors unlock their stories by entering a code found on the plaque next to each cottage.

Using the Site is free of charge, voluntary, and does not require creating an account.

2. Nature of the Site

The Site is fully static. It has no server-side component and does not collect or transmit any data to the operator. All progress information (cottages discovered, badges earned) is stored only in your browser's local storage (the localStorage mechanism) and never leaves your device. 3. Acceptable use

• The Site must be used in a way that complies with the law and good manners.
• All content (stories, illustrations, the map, visual design) is protected by copyright and provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
• Entering random or fake codes to bypass the discovery mechanic is not forbidden, but it spoils the experience for other seekers — please play in the spirit of the fairytale.
• Trips into the field to look for the cottages are at your own risk. Please respect forest and protected-area rules, take care of yourself, and leave no trace.

4. Disclaimer of warranties & liability

The Site is provided “as is”, without any warranties — including, but not limited to, availability, uninterrupted operation, accuracy of cottage locations, or correctness of the map.

The Site operator is not liable for:

• any damages arising from using or being unable to use the Site;
• loss of data stored in the browser's local storage (e.g. after clearing browser data, switching device or browser, or using private/incognito mode);
• incidents that may occur during field trips inspired by the Site.

5. External links

The Site may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, navigation maps, the original chatynkowo.pl). The operator is not responsible for the content or policies of those services. Once you follow an external link, the third party's terms and privacy policy apply.

6. Intellectual property

All rights to the Site's content (texts, stories, illustrations, and code) belong to their respective authors. Copying, modification, and redistribution require permission — except for personal, non-commercial use.
